Un percorso artistico fatto di suoni ipnotici, sperimentali, ricercati, che pompano dalle casse e arrivano dritto al cuore della gente. Quando le chiedo come sia riuscire ad emergere in un mondo di uomini, dolcemente laconica, Noemi Black mi sorride: «Non dimenticare: la Techno è una lady!»
Noemi Black, il lato sexy della techno. Quanto conta l’immagine nel tuo lavoro?
«Grazie per il complimento! Penso che oggi la bellezza sia un aspetto da non sottovalutare, ma non il più importante. Prima vengono il talento e le competenze.»
Video-set e podcast che sprigionano pura energia. Le vibrazioni sonore di una dj, che, già da bambina, accarezzava il sogno di diventare famosa.
«Forse non proprio da bambina, ma da adolescente. Già dalla prima volta in un club capii che era quello che avrei voluto fare da grande. Ma non immaginavo minimamente che avrei avuto la possibilità di suonare in altri paesi, addirittura in altri continenti. All’inizio accarezzavo solo il sogno di esibirmi in un club nella mia piccola città in Polonia.»
Che infanzia è stata la tua?
«È stato uno dei momenti più belli della mia vita, la vita di una bambina felice in mezzo a tanti amici. Nel periodo estivo stavamo sempre fuori, dalla mattina alla sera. Suonavamo insieme, eravamo liberi e felici.»
Chi è Noemi Black?
«Sono una persona gentile, amichevole, ordinata, che cerca continuamente di migliorare sé stessa. Amo il fitness, mi alleno tutti i giorni e sto anche provando a imparare nuove lingue.»
Conti migliaia di follower su Instagram, un popolo di seguaci che balla al ritmo di 140 bpm.
«Cerco di essere molto attiva sui social, mi piace mantenere vivo il contatto diretto con i miei fan. Ho follower da tutto il mondo ed è una grande opportunità per conoscere persone davvero simpatiche ed ampliare la base dei seguaci. Spero che si trovino bene a trascorrere del tempo in mia compagnia e che tornino volentieri sui miei social.»
Creatività artistica, quella di Noemi Black, che si nutre dell’energia della gente.
«Tutto quello che sto facendo, lo faccio per i miei fan. Senza di loro non potrei esistere. Ogni mese registro un video-set dal mio studio, anche se è difficile competere con un vero concerto in un club. Ma l’energia della gente mi dà una carica incredibile.»
Cosa sono per te il rispetto e la riconoscenza?
«Sono tra i valori più importanti, perché dobbiamo comprendere di essere tutti umani, non importa quale sia il colore della pelle, la nostra religione o l’orientamento sessuale. Siamo una cosa sola.»
Una sola cosa, come la donna e l’artista. Cosa ti ha dato la musica e cosa ti ha tolto?
«Mi ha dato e continua a darmi l’opportunità di esplorare nuovi luoghi, incontrare persone meravigliose e andare in estasi insieme ai clubber di tutto il mondo. La musica mi ha fatto diventare più consapevole delle mie capacità e del mio valore artistico. Purtroppo, per raggiungere questi obiettivi, ho dovuto lasciare il mio paese, la mia famiglia, i miei affetti. Ci vediamo solo poche volte all’anno. Non è facile, ma è stata una mia scelta.»
Oggi la dea Techno ti dà in dono un superpotere, solo per un giorno. Che uso ne faresti?
«Non lo utilizzerei per me, ma vorrei che fosse qualcosa per tutti, in questi tempi difficili. Magari un po’ d’aria aperta, uno spazio libero dove poter ballare, incontrare con gli amici e dimenticarsi per qualche istante della situazione particolare che stiamo vivendo. Ci manca così tanto per la normalità!»
Il nostro è un mondo di uomini, cantava James Brown nel ‘66. Com’è riuscire ad emergere per l’altra metà del cielo?
«Non è per niente facile! Viviamo in un mondo di uomini – è vero – e, all’inizio della mia carriera, mi sono ritrovata in alcune situazioni poco piacevoli… ma non dimenticare: la Techno è una lady!»

When I ask her what it is like to emerge in a world of men, gently laconic, Noemi Black smiles at me: «Don’t forget: Techno is a girl!»
Noemi Black, the sexy side of techno. How important is the image in your work?
«Thank you for your nice words! I think, in the modern world it’s an important thing, but not the most important. Still in the first place are talent and skills.»
Video-sets and podcasts that release pure energy. The sound vibrations of a dj, who, even as a child, caressed the dream of becoming famous.
«Maybe not as a child, but as a teenager. After my first visit to the club, I was pretty sure, that this is this what I want to do in the future. I didn’t even imagine that I’ll be able to play in other countries, other continents. In the beginning, I was only dreaming about the chance to play in a club in my small town in Poland.»
What childhood was yours?
«It was definitely one of the best periods of my life. I was a happy child with a big pack of friends. In a time of summer school break, we were all the time outside. From morning till evening we have been running, playing together outside our homes. We were really happy and free.»
Who is Noemi Black?
«I am a warm, family and orderly person. Every day I’m trying to improve myself. I love fitness, I train every day and I’m also trying to learn new languages.»
You count thousands of followers on Instagram, a fanbase who dance at the rate of 140 bpm.
«I’m trying to be very active on my social media profiles. I really like to have the contact with my fans. I have followers from all around the world and it’s a great opportunity to known really nice persons and expand the fanbase. I hope my followers are feeling good on my socials and that they are returning with pleasure.»
Artistic creativity, that of Noemi Black, which feeds on energy from the crowd.
«Everything that I am making, I make for my fans. Without them I can’t exist. I’m recording every month a video-sets from my studio but it is hard to compete it with a gig in a club. Energy from the crowd gives me incredible power.»
What are respect and gratitude for you?
«These are some of the more important values for me. We all have to understand, that we are all humans, it’s doesn’t matter what’s our skin color, religion, or sexual orientation. We all are one.»
One thing only, like the woman and the artist. What did the music give you and what did it take away from you?
«It gives me the opportunity to explore new places, meet wonderful peoples and rave together with clubber in the world. I become more confident, aware of my value. To reach this, I had to leave my country, family and friends. I see them only a few times in the year. It’s not easy, but it was my conscious choice.»
Today the goddess Techno gives you a superpower as a gift, just for a day. What use would you make of it?
«I would not ask for something for me, it should be something for us all in those hard times. I would ask for some nice open-air, where we all will be able to dance, meet with friends and to forget for a moment about the actual situation. We all are missing for normality so much!»
What is it like to emerge in a men’s world?
«It’s not easy for sure! It is a world dominated by men, it’s true. Maybe, at the beginning of my career, I had some unpleasant situations… but don’t forget: Techno is a girl!»
